Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a skilled Service Desk Administrator to join our Enterprise Technology team in Shanghai. We are looking for a smart, patient, and dedicated individual who will work with Tower’s employees to resolve hardware and software issues.
Responsibilities
The Service Desk Administrator will be responsible for:
- Identifying, prioritizing, resolving and triaging incidents and requests
- Monitoring and overseeing the Service Desk Function, and reporting any incidents and escalations
- Assist Infosec with tasks related to identifying and handling IT security incidents using industry best practices
- Proactively working on issues, identifying problem areas, and providing solutions to enhance quality of service and to prevent future problems
- Supporting, Installing and troubleshooting meeting room AV hardwares. Knowledge with Logitech/Google AV hardware would be a plus
- Installing, troubleshooting and supporting Windows desktops, Linux desktops, MacOS Laptops, Windows Laptops and iOS devices
- Installing, configuring and supporting desk phones
- Creating new user accounts, groups etc
- Repairing and upgrading hardware including desktops, laptops, conference room equipments, printers, and scanners
- Managing and maintaining information on Tower’s internal Documentation hub residing on Confluence pages
- Maintaining Enterprise Hardwares inventory records for tracking and compliance/auditing
- Racking and stacking of servers with the assistance of Tower Data Center team
- Researching materials for procurement through vendors
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Solid knowledge of PC hardware and computer internals
- Desktop support knowledge
- The ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware failures
- The basic understanding and application of Password management, MFA, Encryption, Phishing, Endpoint Security, Proxy, Firewall
- A passion for technology
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- The ability to balance and prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to work well as part of a team that supports production, back-office computing, and end user support functions
- Ability to read and interpret English-language technical documents
- Ability to speak business-level English and Mandarin
- Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence (preferred)
- A working knowledge of Linux (preferred)
- An educational background in computer science or IT (preferred)

- Able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work both with a team and independently
- Available to travel to different Tower Offices based out of Hong Kong and Singapore to provide support from those regions
