Investment - Analyst/Associate
We are looking to recruit an Analyst/Associate for our Investment Team who will be based in Bangalore, India, responsible for supporting Hashed Emergent's rapidly growing team & investment operations. The role would be working closely with our Investment Partners to identify & evaluate suitable investment opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Identifying evolving trends in web3 and developing a thesis around them
• Tracking Web3 adoption across non-crypto sectors
• Adopting a top-down or bottom-up approach while sourcing new deal opportunities and ensuring quality, continuous pipeline of potential investment opportunities
• Conducting comprehensive diligence (product, people, technology, etc.) on the potential investment opportunities
• Preparing investment memos and presenting the same to the investment committee
• Assisting with deal execution, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to enable a smooth deal closure process
• Monitoring progress and helping portfolio companies on all fronts, working closely with non-crypto portfolio companies to enable the adoption of web3 in their tech stack
• Participating in investor, developer, and industry conferences for strategic intelligence, and managing and growing a deep network of relationships with industry players, startups, and investors
• Publishing regular content and articles on emerging trends in web3
• Assisting in ad-hoc projects as required.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience working either with a VC, tech investment bank, top-tier consulting firm or as an operator in a crypto-native startup
• Passion for blockchain technology and the web3 economy
• Strong analytical and technical skillset and a willingness to deep-dive and learn about emerging technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to assimilate large complex data, and present the same in a simple, succinct manner

Preferred:

• Bachelors/Masters degree in engineering, business studies, mathematics with an excellent academic record
• Ability to work independently and also contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure, entrepreneurial environment
• Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally
