About the role
We are looking for an experienced VP of Artist and Entertainment Partnerships to drive strategic collaboration efforts across artist partnerships, endorsements, representation, and promotions. Reporting to our EVP of Emerging Business, you'll shape and lead our cross-company artist engagement strategy, aligning initiatives across Crunchyroll's business lines to enhance our global entertainment presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with company leadership to refine and implement Crunchyroll's artist strategy, aligning across our core areas—streaming, gaming, commerce, theatrical, manga, and more.
- Collaborate with our C-Suite to map out strategic artist collaborations across mature and emerging markets.
- Lead efforts to identify, network, approach, and secure partnerships with artists across media, sports, and entertainment sectors.
- Define and oversee the outreach and engagement process with artists, ensuring continuous relationship-building.
- Leverage your network and insights to establish and grow Crunchyroll's artist network for key promotional events and campaigns.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with agents, managers, and representatives to drive collaborative ideas and mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align artist partnership initiatives with business objectives, overseeing a team dedicated to smooth integration and execution.
- Lead and inspire a team of relationship managers, strategists, and project managers to manage the full lifecycle of artist partnerships, from ideation to execution.
- Champion creativity in Crunchyroll's artist partnerships, staying on top of industry trends, and establishing global consistency in artist strategies and execution.

About You

- 12+ years of experience in talent partnerships, business development, or related roles in media and entertainment, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful talent strategies.
- You have a deep understanding of passionate fandoms with a strong network of contacts in sports, music, entertainment, comics, and related fields.
- You have excellent negotiation skills, with experience in drafting, finalizing, and managing talent agreements to secure high-profile partnerships.
- You have proven ability in managing, leading, and developing teams.
- You have exceptional collaborative abilities, effectively working with cross-functional teams and influencing partners at all levels.
