Engineering manager (VP of engineering)

Mathpix is a profitable VC backed startup that has grown from a class project at Stanford while the founder was a PhD student, to a company used by the top LLM labs in the world to train models on data locked inside of scientific PDFs.

We are seeking an experienced software engineer with strong communication / leadership skills and a strong customer focus.

Ideally someone with experience with the following:

• event oriented backend architectures
• API design
• document databases
• managing developers, including writing pseudocode and sometimes helping solve integration problems
