CTO co-founder at impact investing startup. $40k/annum + significant equity

Join us on our mission to build the world’s leading impact investing platform for self-directed private investors.

We’re looking for a hands-on, mission-driven CTO to join our core team.

You will lead the company through the technology build-out and from product-solution to product-market fit. This is a broad role where you’ll be able to shape the direction of the technology and ensure that we have the best people and processes in place to achieve our goals.

We will consider part-time commitments from strong candidates.

ABOUT ZIGGMA
We’re building an independent investment platform to empower self-directed, private investors to invest for return and tangible positive impact on issues, such as climate change. Recent open banking legislation enables us to serve customers at literally any broker in the US, Europe and beyond. We estimate the target market at $12 billion. 14% of investors in the US (40% in France and 79% in the UK) indicate a strong interest in investing for return and a positive impact on the planet. Generation Y and Z are widely known to be keen on impact.

At the moment, we’re a team of 4, 1 full-timer, 3 part-timers. The team is fully remote with team members distributed across the US, France and Germany.

We’re looking for a mission-driven full-stack developer to join our core team, after our founding CTO’s life circumstances caused him to succumb to an offer by Google.

OUR TECH STACK
• Front-end: Vue.js, Vuetify, Vuex
• Back-end: PHP/Laravel, PostgreSQL, third-party integrations (e.g., data: Plaid, Snaptrade, Intrinio; payments: Stripe; mailing: Sendgrid)

YOUR SKILLSET
• Proficient in Vue.js
• Proficient in PHP
• Fluent in at least one web framework, ideally Laravel
• Proficiency in SQL
• Experience with AWS
• You prize reliability, simplicity, and robustness in building out systems
• You are a self-starter, comfortable with wearing multiple hats
