The Software Engineer reports directly to the Delivery Manager and is part of the Product Development team.

You are responsible for leading the development of new product features as part of the product roadmap and delivering the product releases to internal teams. You are accountable to deliver the product with quality while ensuring the adherence to the secure & multi-tenant SaaS principles of the product architecture. The accountability also includes delivering within the agreed timeline, budget, company policies and guidelines, as well as legal & licensing requirements of underlying software.

You are expected to actively participate in your scrum team based on the agile methodology to deliver the product based on the two most important tenets - ease of use & designed to bring comfort to the customer and the end users. You have to follow relevant best practices & design patterns while programming & troubleshooting. Continuous learning of new technologies to innovate is another expectation of you in this role.

You are required to design, develop, test, debug, and implement our product in critical and sensitive production environments, leveraging AI tools to enhance coding efficiency and ensure high-quality outputs. You will work with limited supervision, effectively addressing unfamiliar challenges by integrating AI-driven solutions where appropriate. Following standard processes and providing technical support to various internal and external teams are key responsibilities.

You have to have good interpersonal skills to develop & manage relationships with diverse teams & users. Communicating effectively & in a timely manner is of utmost importance.

Responsibilities & Key Tasks

SaaS software Implementation:

• Deploy and configure software solutions according to client specifications and requirements.
• Customize software to integrate with existing client applications and/or align with business processes and workflows.
• Participate in various testing activities during the Implementation life cycle. You shall participate in the UAT or any other form of acceptance tests requested by the clients before moving to production.
• You shall ensure a smooth and seamless transition of the software to Sambaash’ support team after the client’s acceptance is successfully completed.

Client Interaction:

• Work closely with clients to understand their requirements from the system and provide tailored solutions.
• Conduct requirements gathering/ analysis workshops, software demos, training sessions to ensure clients are proficient in using the software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Project Management:

• Assist the Project manager in monitoring and tracking client implementation projects, including timelines, deliverables and resources.
• Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.
• Coordinate with the client’s Project manager in scheduling the various reviews, meetings, workshops etc.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Should have analytical and problem solving skills.
• Proficiency in technology skills for Databases, programming languages like SQL query, Python, Cloud computing basics for AWS, GCP and MS-Azure.
• Proficiency in Office Tools including Google Workspace, Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Excellent interpersonal, written & verbal communication, learnability, documentation skills, planning, time management skills.
• Able to empathize & work with people at all levels.
• Ability to embrace & manage highly dynamic clients business requirements.
• Have a very good understanding and knowledge of web standards, accessibility and compatibility issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in implementation of SaaS solutions preferably in the EdTech industry.
• PMP/ Prince2/ Scrum master Certifications will be a plus.
