Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. DevOps Engineer to join our team at Berkeley Compute. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud environments, networking, orchestration tools, and Linux systems.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain development and production cloud environments
• Manage and optimize network services
• Utilize orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Maintain uptime and security of critical systems. Design and deploy monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
• Implement and enforce best practices for identifying bugs, migrating changes, and setting up new projects
• Enhance functionality of existing orchestration systems
• Create prototypes for new application functionality involving server setups
• Debug issues in orchestration systems
• Set up new servers and create automation and CI/CD pipelines

Required Skills and Experience

• Extensive knowledge of Linux systems
• Strong understanding of security
• Familiar with cloud architecture, data center architecture, hardware, storage, networking, GPUs
• Strong experience with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Proficiency in networking
• Expert-level knowledge of orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform)
• Experience with automation and CI/CD pipeline creation
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Ability to create and maintain documentation for systems and processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications
• Strong GPU experience, NVIDIA tooling
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code practices
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools
