Job Title: Compliance Specialist
Location: Remote but must be based in one of the following states: CA, MN, TX, MA, IL, CO
Salary: $24-25/hour
Hours: Mon - Fri - Minimum 30 hours per week

What you’ll be doing:
The Compliance Specialist supports the compliance team in ensuring that the organization adheres to regulatory standards and internal policies. This role involves assisting with the implementation and monitoring of compliance processes, including background checks, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
Review documents and ensure requirements are met for all onboarded educators.
Assist with background checks.
Conduct regular audits and assessments with direction from the Compliance Manager.
Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
Support the preparation of compliance reports and documentation.
Assist in investigating compliance-related issues and documenting findings.
Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of compliance within the organization.
Provide administrative support to the compliance team as needed.

Minimum requirements:
Must be an independent and self-motivated worker
Comfortable with technology including Google suiteStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong passion for keeping children safe in Education

Preferred Experience:
HR work experience, particularly with completing background checks, a strong asset
