The platform streamlines payments for over 6 million Brazilians by consolidating credit and debit cards, instant payments like Pix, and Open Finance, on a mission to democratize mobile payments and financial services in Brazil.

Featuring services such as bill payments, mobile top-ups, public transportation, installment plans, and loans, designed with convenience, low cost and flexibility in mind. RecargaPay is changing the way both banked and unbanked Brazilians make their everyday payments and access their financial services.

We are looking for a highly experienced and dedicated Technical Leader who will be responsible for guiding a talented team of engineers towards excellence. This professional will be a crucial pillar in defining the vision and ensuring that projects are fully aligned with the company’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define team objectives and project goals aligned with the company’s vision, fostering a high-performance environment.
  • Lead and supervise engineers, ensuring that milestones and deadlines are met within budget constraints.
  • Actively participate in recruiting, training, and developing team members, creating a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
  • Collaborate with other technical leaders to align technology strategies with the company’s long-term objectives.
  • Ensure the successful execution of projects, adhering to established timelines and budgets.

Requirements

  • Degree/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplines;

  • Experience in team leadership;

  • A solid understanding of how web applications work, including security, session management and development best practices;

  • Knowledge of Domain Oriented Design.

  • Knowledge of microservices architecture is an advantage;

  • Proven ability to design complex distributed applications designed for high performance and throughput, while being scalable and reliable;

  • Development experience using Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Kafka and AWS;

  • Experience with asynchronous programming;

  • Proven experience in profiling and performance tuning Java applications and using monitoring tools to monitor production applications.
