Back End Engineer

Who we are loking for
Fixer is growing, and we are looking for an experienced and passionate back end Engineer to join our team. An excellent opportunity to put your skills to the test in a startup environment, building and maintaining back end infrastructure and services. Working with a fast-growing group of engineers, you’ll be central in imagining and delivering our platform, leveraging your experience to help quickly deliver a quality product to our customers.

The Role
In your day-to-day, you'll work on building and deploying solutions that drive AI-powered processes, ensuring smooth integration with real-time data and intelligent systems. You would be developing the backbone of our operations. For example:

• Design and deploy the infrastructure that powers microservices based on chat activity
• Manage both development and production databases
• Build and maintain a REST API

Your Tech Stack & Experience
If this sounds like you, you could be our ideal candidate:
You're excited about the potential of AI to transform industries
You have 3+ years of experience in backend software engineering, with JavaScript frameworks (NodeJS and TypeScript)
Experience with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, and EventBridge) is a bonus.
You're also familiar with vector databases and PostgreSQL
You have a good grasp of Infrastructure as Code
You're legally eligible to work in Canada
