Application Developer
This position is on-site at our corporate office in Brookfield, WI. Relocation and/or sponsorship are not provided for this role.
The Hydrite IT Developer provides programming and support for application systems to meet Hydrite’s business needs. Duties include working collaboratively with business analysts, users, application architects, and fellow developers to design, program, and test business solutions.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Design and develop new software products, enhancements, or bug fixes to existing software for internal Hydrite customers
- Develop enterprise-level applications and custom integration solutions, interfaces, functions, and features.
- Acts as a technical expert, troubleshooting business-reported problems caused by technical issues related to systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms
- Seeks out opportunities to continuously improve by learning modern programming languages, frameworks, continuous integration continuous deployment, and source control.
- Communicates well and clearly to all stakeholders, asking the why before answering the how.
- Is self-motivated and can perform under minimal supervision.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
- This position reports to the IT Application Manager.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or another relevant field.
- 5 years web development experience.
- DB and SQL experience.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Must be able to demonstrate high-level problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate high levels of persistence in solving difficult technical problems.
