This is a strategic role requiring strong leadership and a collaborative approach to managing physical security risks across a diverse and geographically dispersed region. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing physical security in multinational environments and experience working closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and law enforcement agencies.
The Physical Security Operations Regional Manager will oversee the physical security programs and operations across multiple locations in the EMEA region. This role will be based in Dublin, Ireland , with the flexibility of being in the office 3 days a week. The position requires up to 25% international travel to ensure the effective implementation of security policies, programs, and projects, and to foster relationships with local offices, partners, and stakeholders.
What you’ll be doing
- Security Strategy & Operations: Develop, implement, and manage physical security policies, procedures, and standards across EMEA offices, ensuring alignment with global security goals.
- Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Lead risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for all sites, identifying and addressing security risks, and implementing appropriate countermeasures.
- Vendor & Partner Management: Manage relationships with local security service providers, ensuring quality and performance in the areas of guarding, surveillance, and access control.
- Emergency Response & Incident Management: Oversee emergency response protocols, crisis management, and incident investigations across the region, ensuring rapid and effective resolution.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams including HR, IT, Workplace Operations, Legal, and Compliance, to implement security initiatives and ensure alignment with corporate goals.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure compliance with local and international security regulations and company policies, conducting regular audits and inspections of security measures and infrastructure.
- Training & Development: Provide ongoing training and development programs for security staff and employees, ensuring awareness and preparedness in emergency and security situations.
- Budget Management: Prepare and manage security budgets for the region, optimizing resources and ensuring cost-effective security solutions.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to the Director of Global Physical Security & Safety, highlighting regional security concerns, ongoing projects, and recommendations for improvement.
What you’ll bring to the role
- 8+ years of experience in physical security operations, preferably within multinational organizations or high-tech environments.
- 3+ years of experience in a regional or global leadership role in security management.
- Proven experience in risk assessment, incident management, and crisis response in complex environments.
- Excellent knowledge of physical security technologies, including access control, surveillance systems, intrusion detection, and security operations centers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across cultures and regions.
- Experience managing security vendors and service providers in multiple locations.
- Ability to travel internationally up to 25% of the time and work in a hybrid environment with a presence in the office 3 days a week.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Security Management, Criminal Justice, or Business Administration) or equivalent experience.
- Certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional) or PSP (Physical Security Professional) are preferred.
