Gamezop is a dynamic and rapidly growing startup at the forefront of digital content and ad-tech. We're seeking a Product Manager to spearhead the development of our personalised news product, Feedzop. Disclaimer: Feedzop is under development, and has not been publicly released yet.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify user needs, trends, and competitive landscape
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with company goals
  • Leverage user data and feedback to improve personalization algorithms and features
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of Feedzop
  • Work closely with engineering, data science, sales, and content teams to ensure alignment on product goals and timelines
  • Identify, prioritize, and define new features that enhance personalization and user engagement
  • Create detailed product specifications and user stories for the development team
  • Oversee the product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery of features
  • Monitor and analyze product performance and user engagement metrics, making data-driven decisions for improvements
  • Develop strategies to enhance user engagement and retention, including notifications, recommendations, and community features

Skills:

  • Ability to create and manage a strategic product roadmap
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices and tools
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques to interpret user behavior and product performance
  • Basic understanding of how algorithms can be used for personalization
  • Knowledge of user experience design principles to collaborate effectively with design teams
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on user metrics and performance indicators
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and editorial teams
  • Understanding of the news landscape, media trends, and competitive products in personalized content delivery
  • Understanding of data privacy laws and ethical considerations surrounding content curation and user data
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to draw insights from data and use it to drive decision-making. Capacity to translate technical data insights into clear and actionable recommendations for stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
