Girls Who Code is seeking a Program Implementation Specialist to support educators bringing our transformational programming to their communities, including our newest offering: Mentoring Corps. This individua will be responsible for managing all communications with volunteers, providing responsive support on a variety of technical and curricular implementation issues, as well as recruiting, supporting, and collecting feedback from high school and college-aged Mentoring Corps participants in our second pilot year of the program.

The ideal candidate has experience in outreach or marketing, cultivating and maintaining relationships with volunteers, providing high-quality customer support, and leading event planning and execution. They are detail-oriented, flexible, and able to juggle multiple priorities independently. They bring experience working with and coaching educators and a passion for reaching students at scale.

This is a part-time (20 hours per week) fully remote position. Applicants must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities:

  • Volunteer Management and Activation
  • Cultivate relationships with a regional portfolio of Facilitators to support brand affinity and engagement
  • Convert approved volunteers to engaged participants through email outreach and additional individualized follow up
  • Build relationships with local Clubs and College Loops for recruitment and support purposes
  • Host office hours/cohort meetings to support volunteers in Clubs and Mentoring Corps implementation

  • Communication

  • Execute strategic proactive communication campaign to support the following initiatives:

  • Check ins on Club progress at predetermined intervals

  • Solicit renewal applications for existing Clubs

  • Generate interest in and applications for the new Mentoring Corps programs

  • Track application conversion and propose interventions for low submission or registration rates related to above campaigns

  • Field inquiries from volunteer Clubs Facilitators and College Mentors via email, phone, or videochat, including:

  • Registering for and navigating Girls Who Code HQ

  • Setup and execution of the Clubs and Mentoring Corps curricula

  • Student recruitment and retention

  • Curriculum preparation, structure, and execution

  • Participation in Mentoring Corps

  • Collect and share participant feedback and success stories

  • Event Planning and Execution

  • Update production materials (slide decks, runs of show, etc.) that support successful programmatic events

  • Facilitate trainings on programmatic roles, responsibilities, and expectations for all stakeholders

  • Assist Mentoring Corps participants with scheduling virtual and in-person events

  • Manage backend systems and user platforms to track deliverables and program completion for stipend fulfillment

  • Represent Girls Who Code at targeted meetings, community events, and conferences to increase brand affinity and engagement

Qualifications

  • Strong customer-service orientation and follow through; driven to adapt and problem solve
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to present information to and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Process-oriented, with a successful track record in shaping and implementing new procedures with an eye toward efficiency, such as event planning, communication campaigns, and stipend remittance
  • Reliable internet connection
  • Attention to detail and an eye for consistency and branding
  • Comfortable working independently and being a part of a remote, distributed team
  • Experience within academically and culturally diverse classroom community in a teaching or operations role strongly preferred
  • Experience with Google Suite and Salesforce preferred
  • Familiarity with marketing tools such as Mailchimp, CampaignMonitor a plus
  • Computer science experience is not required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
  • Passion for our mission to close the gender gap in technology fields through a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion
