Satellite Operations Lead (Orbitworks - UAE)

Wanna join the adventure?As the Satellite Operations Lead for Orbitworks, you will serve as the anchor of the Satellite Operations team . You will lead the operational launch of the Orbitworks satellite fleet in the UAE and will leverage your technical and leadership skills to ensure smooth operation, mission planning, and integration with Loft’s global satellite operations. This role demands leadership, technical excellence, and operational efficiency in high-stakes environments.

About This Role:

• Serve as Orbitworks frontline interface with customers, helping them use Cockpit's tools effectively for mission planning and payload operations
• Work with customers and internal stakeholders to identify the lowest friction solutions to customer needs
• Improve Cockpit functionality as a developer through implementation improvements and automation
• Python or similar scripting experience for automation and mission performance.

Must Haves:

• Minimum 3 years experience in space company or organization, with exposure to satellite operations and/or assembly, integration, and test
• Exposure to both ground software and flight software (note: you will not be expected to write flight software)
• Experience with GNC / Orbits
• Extensive experience with the Arrow-150 bus, particularly in avionics, ADCS, or propulsion.
• Strong satellite operations background, capable of navigating complex missions.
• Experience writing software scripts in Python

Nice to Haves:

• Exposure to Docker containers as well as general DevOps exposure
• Experience with GNC / Orbits
• GraphQL, UI Design
• Experience operating systems at scale
