Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Vendor Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for traveling to various states to fulfill project requirements for Koscom Cable Inc and must have previous experience with Telecommunication and Fibre Optics. This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing vendors, ensuring quality standards are met, and analyzing market trends to optimize our vendor management strategy. This position is essential for enhancing our supply chain efficiency and ensuring that we work with the best vendors in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
Vendor Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during project setups.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with both approved and new vendors, fostering collaboration and trust.
Vendor Research: Conduct thorough research to identify potential new vendors based on price, quality, and alignment with our vendor management plan.
Quality Assurance: Communicate with vendors to perform quality checks, negotiate pricing, and discuss opportunities for improvements.
Standards Establishment: Establish and maintain quality standards for vendor performance, regularly analyzing vendor outputs against these benchmarks.
Market Analysis: Analyze sales trends and market data to understand the value of different products and make informed vendor decisions.
Vendor Onboarding: Interact with new vendors to clearly explain expectations, responsibilities, and compliance requirements.
Requirements
Proven experience in vendor management, procurement, or a related field.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to analyze data and market trends effectively.
Excellent relationship-building skills with a focus on collaboration.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
