Overview: MissionWired is looking for an infrastructure engineer to join our enterprise technology team. Here, you’ll help us build architectures that support driving change in the world, from electing Democrats to combating hunger globally. No two days will be exactly alike as you develop runbooks, collaborate with the development team to construct automations, and find new ways to “build it better”. This role reports to the Director of Infrastructure Engineering.

Successful candidates will be responsible for:
Joining each and every one of your colleagues in creating an inclusive workspace;
Participating in day-to-day management of infrastructure components, including the implementation of security best practices;
Creating and maintaining automations for: CI/CD pipelines, drift maintenance, and testing;
Developing system runbooks and other documentation to aid business continuity, developer usability, and disaster recovery readiness;
Participating in the construction of a comprehensive monitoring solution that spans multiple applications and architectures, including tracking uptime, application errors, security alerts, and configuration issues;
Responding as a team to infrastructure outages and security alerts; and
Maintaining technical compliance with security frameworks, including SOC-2 and HIPAA.
Must-have qualifications:
A background in programming - you understand what makes webapps tick and the typical developer workflow;
Scripting experience in Bash or Python - when things need to be automated, you can do so quickly;
Proficiency working with Linux;
Experience with web development (HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc.)
Demonstrated experience using an Infrastructure as Code language (Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible);
Knowledge of a CI/CD platform (GitLab, CircleCI, GitHub Actions); and
Hands-on experience working with AWS.
Nice-to-have qualifications:
Working experience in Terraform;
Familiarity with Azure Cloud;
Experience with GitHub Actions;
Knowledge of monitoring tooling; and
Experience with SOC-2, HIPAA, or other security frameworks.
Salary range for this role is $80,000 to $95,000 per year, depending on experience.

This position is included in a union-represented collective bargaining unit, and specific employment terms and conditions are subject to collective bargaining.

We are currently working remotely with no return to office date. Applicants may reside in the following states: AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, LA, MA, MD, MN, MO, NC, NH, NJ, NM, NY, OR, PA, SC, TX, VA, WA, and WI. Due to FL legislation, MissionWired is required to participate in e-verify.
