Title: Practice Director – P&C Insurance
Location: Remote USA
Reports To: Vice President and General Manager, Insurance
The Role:
We are looking for a Practice Director for the Insurance Practice, specifically focusing on Auto Insurance, Home Insurance, Life Insurance and Annuities.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing products and overseeing the delivery of services within the Insurance Practice. Your focus will be on thought leadership, developing the product roadmap, supporting business development, and delivering research insights to clients.
Our product offerings include syndicated and proprietary market research, data and analytics, consulting, certification programs, and other related services.
You’ll collaborate closely with Sales Leadership, the Insurance Practice team, and the Consumer Insights team to drive both short- and long-term growth for the Insurance business.
The Impact You Will Have in This Role:
As the Practice Director, you will play a critical role in expanding the use of J.D. Power’s customer experience products and services within the Insurance sector. You will help position J.D. Power as a strategic partner in customer experience across the Insurance industry in the U.S.
What You'll Be Doing in This Role:
- Meet with clients to deliver research results and insights.
- Support business development and take responsibility for achieving revenue and sales goals in the Insurance Practice.
- Proactively pursue thought leadership opportunities and become recognized as a top-20 thought leader in the U.S. Insurance industry.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior executives (VP, SVP, EVP, CMO, Chief Customer Officer, etc.) in the Insurance sector.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and maintain a deep understanding of client strategies.
- Match J.D. Power’s products and services to client needs, helping to grow revenue and strengthen relationships.
- Collaborate with the VP and General Manager to develop and align the product roadmap for the Insurance Practice.
Qualifications of this Role:
- 6-10+ years of experience in market research, management consulting, or a client-facing role with a proven record in product management and business development.
- Expertise in the Insurance sector, especially in Auto Insurance and/or Home Insurance.
- Experience in product management or market research on either the client or supplier side within Insurance.
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
- Strong ability to build rapport and maintain business relationships, with high emotional intelligence.
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
- Proven ability to deliver multiple client presentations within a short timeframe.
- Willingness to travel 20%-30%.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce), Excel, and PowerPoint.
