About us:
We're a startup tackling the problem of large-scale data collection for general-purpose robotics. To do this, we're building dedicated data-collection hardware, as well as a gig-work fleet of data collectors. We're looking for a high-throughput, high-ownership SWE who can handle the development and scaling of our collection platform.

Job overview:
You will be responsible for the general development and maintenance of our software stack. This requires a confident working knowledge of GCP, python, and full-stack development. While your responsibilities and projects are likely to change significantly over time, you will be initially responsible for maintaining our cloud infrastructure, developing mobile applications, and maintaining continuous data flow from our workers. You will be the person primarily responsible for most software-development needs. Requirements:

• GCP management (can you confidently deploy complex systems in GCP?)
• Strong full-stack skills (could you put together a simple webapp in a day?)
• Experience deploying at scale
• Kubernetes/Docker
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines
• Strong understanding of efficient data transfer protocols, buffering, compression
• Strong knowledge of python
• Some experience with embedded systems (Pi / Arduino experience is OK)
• Some experience with mobile development (React Native)
• Interest in robotics / alignment with company mission

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with robotics, ROS, hardware, low-level firmware
• Experience with ML
