About the job
Angi is seeking an experienced, results-driven Senior Product Manager to join our marketplace team, the hub of our platform, where homeowners and pros get connected to get jobs done well. This group is responsible for driving products including matching, pricing, search, filtering, and more - this is the hub of our revenue machine.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will help drive these experiences for customers, ultimately driving the business. You will work on core platform capabilities and data products that ensure we are making the right matches between homeowners and pros, driving integrity in the platform, maximizing ROI for customers, and maximizing Angi’s business outcome. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager with deep experience using product data and insights to drive experiences.
What you’ll do:
- Help turn our data into a platform asset that helps teams across Angi be successful, including SEO, sales, matching, pricing, and more.
- Develop a deep understanding of all metrics in the marketplace so you’re always making data driven decisions, and able to tell compelling stories with a deep understanding of how our system works.
- Drive the health and success of the Angi Marketplace and use all the levers at your disposal to drive step-function improvement in Jobs Done Well for our pros and homeowners.
- Drive a roadmap that has ambitious goals, builds momentum, and inspires passion in the engineering team you’ll partner with.
- Thrive within ambiguity and find new, creative ways to solve problems every day, with data as your guide.
- Identify and launch new product ideas with a thoughtful testing approach.
- Ruthlessly prioritize the most important things to get to an MVP quickly.
- Partner with your engineering team to design how foundational marketplace data is served to critical functions such as Matching and hydration of Pro Profiles.
- Lead cross functional efforts across Pro, Homeowner, and Growth pillars to unify teams and our products to support a marketplace that optimizes for Jobs Done Well.
Who you are:
- 4+ years of product experience, including leadership of an engineering team. You have Technical Product Management experience and interest, preferably with a background in engineering or data.
- Deep analytical skills using both qualitative and quantitative data to influence key stakeholders and make compelling product decisions.
- Deep experience testing at scale, including partnering with data science or analytics/BI to build new products.
- A track record of innovating on behalf of customers and developing ‘new to the world’ products.
- Strong Project Management skills so that you’re able to balance a multitude of priorities and manage expectations for your team, leaders, and stakeholders.
- Ability to weigh competing priorities, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with stakeholders, driving to consensus while maintaining a clear focus on overarching business priorities.
- Familiarity and comfort with data, including the ability to use data to analyze and monitor product health and to make hard prioritization decisions, as well as using SQL to dive into the data directly to refine requirements, make decisions, and answer questions.
- Superior communication skills: You can tell a compelling story, you communicate clearly and concisely and can tailor your message to your audience.
- You make good decisions with incomplete data and are constantly optimizing for learning. You find creative ways around blockers and always have an option for what’s next and never an excuse for why you can’t proceed.
- You inspire others to bring their ‘A’ game and are constantly looking for opportunities for improvement. You don’t accept “because that is the way we’ve always done it.”
- You can seamlessly straddle thinking about both the product and the business and are equally comfortable talking about funnel metrics and P+L's. You never say “that is not my job.”
We value diversity:
We know that the best ideas come from product teams where diverse points of view uncover new solutions to hard problems. We welcome and value individuals who bring diverse life experiences, educational backgrounds, cultures, and work experiences.
