Senior Software Engineer (SDE 3)

We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will Lead and deliver critical software projects, expand and develop the engineering team, and enhance development processes to significantly improve product quality and team productivity within the next 6 months.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical aspects of projects, making crucial architectural decisions.
• Meet all project specifications and quality standards, resulting in successful deployments and positive stakeholder feedback.
• Deliver 3 major projects within the next 6 months, ensuring they are completed on schedule and under the allocated budget.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive training programme that enables new hires to become fully productive within 3 months of their start date.
• Improve the development and testing strategy to achieve a 80% reduction in the number of bugs produced within the next 6 months.
• Implement best practices such as code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Set up Large Language Models (LLMs) as part of the development workflow, aiming to increase productivity per engineer by 20% in the next 6 months.
• Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
• Provide regular updates on project progress, team development, and process improvements.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in software engineering roles with a track record of delivering projects successfully.
• Proven ability to lead teams and improve development processes.
• Demonstrated experience in spotting, training, and retaining junior engineers.
• Node.js, Reactjs and database proficiency: Deep understanding of Node.js, Rectjs and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with software development methodologies and testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and their application in software development.
