QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manual Testing:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test cases for manual testing based on project requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.
• Identify, record, and document thoroughly all test issues and bugs.
• Responsible for plan, develop and execute automation scenarios for web and mobile
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to understand requirements and create test plans.

1. Automation Testing:

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
• Contribute to test automation frameworks and ensure scripts are optimized for performance.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
• Collaborate with DevOps for test environment setup and maintenance.

1. Reporting and Documentation:

• Track and report on testing activities, including test results, log defects, and track them to resolution.
• Document testing processes, test cases, and automation scripts to maintain a robust testing knowledge base.
• Participate in defect triage meetings and provide testing updates.

Qualifications:

• Overall 3-5 years of experience in software testing (Manual & Automation).
• Minimum 2 years experience in Selenium/Appium Based automation of Web, Mobile, and Desktop applications.
• Very good in Core Java concepts and Python scripting.
• Strong knowledge in QA process and Methodologies.
• Strong work experience in API testing, Manual Testing and Test data management.
• Delivering projects independently.
• Exposure to at least one reporting tool is required.
• Very good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Very good written and oral business communication and presentation skills required.
• Basic SQL knowledge is required and should be able to write simple queries to fetch test data.
• Experience in one test management and one defect management tool is required.
• Should be aware of STLC and testing processes.
• Hands-on experience in Agile projects.
• Strong systems, problem solving and analytical skills, exceptional verbal & written communication skills.
