termblocks, Inc. (“termblocks”) is an LLM platform that simplifies bespoke and complex credit agreements used in Private Credit. Founded by experienced industry veterans, termblocks is transforming an industry that is $1.8TR and growing.

As a Vice President (VP) of Engineering, you will be a key driver of technical excellence and innovation within our organization. Operating at the intersection of leadership and hands-on technical expertise, you will guide and influence the development of cutting-edge solutions that redefine the technology landscape. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of our engineering practices, leading a team to deliver robust and scalable software solutions.

Responsibility

Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing strategic guidance and fostering a culture of execution
Drive the design and architecture of complex, scalable systems
Collaborate with management team to define technical roadmap, ensure alignment with business objectives, and manage budget
Initial set up and ongoing hands on involvement in setting engineering standards, coding, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting
Conduct regular reviews of engineering initiatives to ensure adherence to best practices and high-quality standards
Proactively identify opportunities for improvements, automation, and optimization
Be the technical authority, providing insights into emerging technologies and industry trends, especially in LLM

Qualifications

Experience in engineering leadership with a focus on scalable AI-enabled systems
Proficiency in multiple programming languages with expertise in strategic technology planning
Proven track record of delivering complex projects from conception to release
Deep understanding of software architecture, design principles, and best practices on cloud platforms in modern technology stack; AWS strongly preferred
Familiarity with FinTech, investment banking, private credit, or related industries is a plus
