About the Team
The Crunchyroll Store team is dedicated to super serving anime fans by offering the best selection of merchandise, seamless UX and outstanding customer service. We are a fast paced business with a significant growth trajectory, requiring experienced leaders to achieve growth targets. You are capable of leading a team while collaborating across multiple business units to address challenges and drive results. You have a passion for developing consumer-centric strategies and are thoughtful with your approach. You will obsess over the consumer journey, best in class consumer and fan experiences and work to remove friction in the experience by proposing a set of consumer-facing actions.
About the Role
This role will be based in our Culver City office in a hybrid model and will require travel 10-15% travel. You will report into our SVP of eCommerce.
About you
- 10+ years’ experience within the digital commerce or retail industry.
- You have experience with Product Creation and working with external vendors
- You have experience and are willing to work with team members at all levels
- Business problem-solving & collaboration
- Experience managing a team across multiple locations
- Overall planning and organizing competency
- A Bachelor’s degree with a focus in business; or equivalent experience
- Data-driven and consumer obsessed
- An ability to work, learn and collaborate on complementary teams
A Day in the Life
- Lead the short and long-term strategy for category management with responsibility to develop category and product line plans that deliver on the overall Crunchyroll store vision and financial targets.
- Own responsibility for business performance measured against sales revenue, gross margin and category sell through, identifying opportunities and flexing strategies to achieve sales growth and deliver against annual objectives.
- Oversee the Merchandising and Product Creation team with the goal of continually optimizing product and category mix to drive growth across both top line sales and margin results, implementing seasonal product strategies that enhance our market position.
- Own a data-driven pricing and promotional strategy across all CR Store activations, developing benchmarks and forecasts for all promotional events. Manage product assortment, pricing, margin, and inventory to maximize sales and profitability.
- Manage vendor relationships with our product suppliers to ensure that we are maximizing our partnerships through trade terms, first to market opportunities and exclusives.
- Build our product creation and sourcing expertise, primarily in Soft Goods, to supplement the product selection purchased from third-party manufacturers.
- Lead our store events team to create a profitable and repeatable business model for the Crunchyroll store to present a stellar shopping experience at fan events domestically and build a plan for participation in the top international events.
- Guide internal cross-functional partnerships to maximize our consumer products rights and distribution across all store locales, and influence strategies across Business Development, Marketing and Consumer Products Licensing.
- Maintain robust competitive intelligence to monitor industry and consumer trends and digital commerce best practices. Analyze sales trends and consumer insights to inform merchandising decisions and maximize revenue opportunities.
- Build and develop a best-in-class product team across multiple locations, optimize processes and drive new ways of working.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, employer matched retirement savings, time-off programs, and progressive health benefits and perks.Pay Transparency - Culver City, CA$190,000—$240,000 USD
