Data & Automations Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data & Automations Engineer to join our innovative aerospace aftermarket distribution startup. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in automating and optimizing business processes using off-the-shelf software, with a focus on transforming the aerospace aftermarkets industry through technology. This role will be instrumental in driving operational efficiency through automations, ERP integrations, and data-driven solutions, helping to disrupt traditional business practices in the aerospace sector.

The ideal candidate is proficient in Odoo ERP, experienced in automating workflows, and capable of integrating third-party services via APIs to build robust data pipelines. They should be passionate about utilizing automation and AI to streamline complex business processes, and thrive in a startup environment where they will have the autonomy to drive impactful technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Automate Business Processes: Design, implement, and manage business process automations using off-the-shelf software solutions to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
• Odoo ERP Implementation & Customization: Lead the deployment, customization, and integration of Odoo ERP to ensure seamless operation across all business functions.
• API Integration: Develop and manage integrations with third-party services via APIs, enabling smooth data flow between systems and enhancing the functionality of existing tools.
• Data Pipelines: Build, maintain, and optimize scalable data pipelines that feed into various business processes, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for decision-making.
• Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and optimize business processes, identifying areas for further automation and system improvements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including operations, sales, and finance, to understand process pain points and design automation solutions that drive value.
• System Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor automation systems for performance, troubleshoot issues, and maintain system documentation.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with emerging technologies in automation, ERP systems, and AI-driven solutions, proposing new tools and methods that can further enhance the company’s efficiency and competitive edge.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Odoo ERP: Deep understanding of Odoo's functionality, customization options, and module integration to meet business requirements.
• Strong experience with process automation, leveraging tools like Zapier, Integromat (Make), and other workflow automation platforms.
• Expertise in building and managing API integrations with third-party services (e.g., CRM, logistics, and accounting tools).
• Demonstrated ability to build and optimize data pipelines for business analytics and automation.
• Solid programming skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or others relevant to ERP customizations and API integrations.
• Familiarity with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and understanding of data architectures.
