UI/UX Designer

Position Summary

OmniSync is a venture and government backed dual use SaaS company transforming the way public and private sectors innovate. Our best-in class AI/NLP-powered marketplaces democratize access to public / private innovation funds. We make it quick and easy for anyone who needs deep market intelligence, predictive insights, and critical resources to make informed decisions.

Our platforms include:

• TurboSBIR, assisting innovators in finding and applying for innovation grants and contracts from US Federal government agencies.
• TurboInnovate, generates comprehensive market research reports within minutes. Subscribers have access to and the ability to review patients/trademarks/IP, funding trends, competitors, potential leads and investors for their preferred domains, and much more.

The UI/UX Design specialist should be willing to join a high-impact team. You should be comfortable with prototyping and testing and be able to quickly iterate and optimize your designs. You should have a keen interest in staying up to date on industry trends, establish and advocate for UX/UI best practices, guidelines and standards, and emerging technologies; contribute to improvements in process and workflow, and understand the implications for our industry. You should also be a great collaborator who enjoys working with diverse cross-functional teams to develop user-centered design solutions for all levels of products and digital initiatives using research/data to create wireframes, flows, and prototypes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Create visual elements such as icons, logos, original images, and illustrations.
• Design layouts, including selection of colors, images and typefaces.
• Build wireframes to conceptualize designs to accurately convey the user journey.
• Design and generate fully interactive prototypes and click-throughs which can be used for client presentations, mock-ups, as well as user-testing studies. Must be responsive designs for multiple contexts and devises.
• Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine areas of opportunity for increased efficiencies.
• Create written and visual user documentation, instructions, and procedures to train new employees and improve user proficiency.
• Evaluate new technologies for potential implementation including development of business justification and project implementation planning, when appropriate.
• Effectively communicate design concepts, strategy, and the rationale behind design decisions.
• Work on a wide variety of marketing and product projects.
• Collaborate with various internal and sometimes external teams or stakeholders to understand the requirements.
• Present end-to-end designs to stakeholders across different teams.

UX:

• Strong understanding of Human Centered Design.
• Experience with Figma or other prototyping/design software like AdobeXD.
• Experience conveying ideas and concepts through storyboarding, wire-framing, and prototyping
• Strong creative problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to work with teams and take projects to the finish line independently.

UI:

• Strong experience in UI design, keen and high attention to detail.
• Able to design based on detailed specification and requirements.
• Solid skills in creative thinking and convergent thinking.
• Strong in visual skills: colors, typography, animation.
• Good understanding of visual design principles: mockups, graphics, layouts.

General:

• Must be able to work in-person on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and other days as needed.
• English fluency with excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
