Senior Backend / Data Engineer

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile (Senior) Backend / Data Engineer to strengthen our team. You should be based in Berlin and have deep expertise in Python, experience with AWS, and some knowledge of how to deploy infrastructure as code, along with how to make data flow well in a scalable system.

As part of our data platform team, you will:
Develop and maintain our backend architecture and data pipelines.
Work collaboratively with product managers and engineers to build a world-class data platform.
Shape the product's core data capabilities and influence its strategic direction.

The ideal candidate has:

• 5+ years of experience handling large volumes of data in a production environment
• Proficiency with Python and TypeScript
• Proficiency with web frameworks , DevOps, MLops, and/or DataOps
• Familiarity with AWS, CloudFormation, and CDK for managing cloud infrastructure.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Openness to admitting knowledge gaps and trying new approaches.
• Professional-level English and eligibility to work in Germany.
• Understanding of scalable databases and data pipelines in a cloud environment.
