🔎 What we're looking for in general

Spiritual maturity: A truly good person with a strong character, equally strong values and an ability to build trusting relationships in a high-stress environment. This is a must for us as our mission is to accelerate spiritual capitalism with increasingly powerful social financial tools.
Analytical intelligence: Analytical genius who is highly comfortable with numbers and complex problem solving. You should be a tech-savvy and highly intelligent professional, experienced with automation and an obsession for details. Learning fast is your superpower, you are or have been a “nerd” and you love the entire problem-solution process from problem identification to solution discovery and implementation.
Hunger: We are exceptionally motivated people with a strong growth mindset and a bravery that allows us to aim for #1 as a team. The only way to thrive in our team is to bring the same or even more hunger to the table. We do not match well with fixed mindsets or average ambition levels.
Tasks
Work on a disruptive financial product that’s still in its early stages. Be responsible for driving innovation, maintainability, improving performance, scalability, and creating headless systems under strict timelines.

Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed backend architecture and design that creates enabled headless systems and a joyful experience for the customer.

Own the design process, implementation, and verification of framework components leveraging standard software engineering methodologies

Integrate our ledger technology with the following external systems:

Open banking platforms like Plaid.
Payment processors like Stripe.
Accounting systems like Economic and QuickBooks
Lead backend engineering and solve complex problems such as:

Invoice matching algorithm → how can we match invoices accurately at scale to transactions when we lack information?
Credit scoring system → how can we gamify the credit scoring experience for our customers while ensuring safe and rigorous lending decisions?
Fee optimisation algorithm → how can we best optimise our payment orchestration to minimize our transactional fees?
Analytics system → how can we best set up a system that tracks all relevant numbers everywhere at all times?

Requirements
Experience in python (5+ years)
Experience in AWS ecosystem (5+ years)
Experience with banking integrations (3+ years)
Experience with accounting integrations (2+ years). Not required but highly valued.
Experience with payment gateways and processors like Stripe (2+ years)
Experience with backend development and different technologies (MQ’s, cache’s, architectural patterns, etc..)
Experience with writing tests (Unit / Integration / Performance)
Hands on with performance and optimisation problems and demonstrated ability to diagnose and prevent these problems.
Extreme attention to detail, obsession for scalable systems
Hands-on with CI/CD

We use GitHub Actions, AWS code deploy

Working knowledge of cyber security
Experience with postman

💭 How will we assess things?

We care about dialogue. In many cases, we might learn more about you from the questions you ask us, than we do from the questions we ask you.

Our steps:

Initial interview with Seb (30 - 45 minutes): Let’s talk about what makes you, you. And your accomplishments so far.
Second interview with Sid: Run us through your technical abilities. We’re a product first company so this is important.
Final interview with Seb (1h)
Reference call withs your (former) colleagues. At the same time you'll get to talk to one of our investors and one of our advisors. There you can ask any question.
