Decentro is a Y-Combinator backed banking & payments infrastructure company. Decentro provides building blocks that help companies stitch their fintech workflows in a few weeks. While starting our first fintech venture back in 2014, we spent years convincing banks to partner with us. Before we could launch our fintech product (more here), we had to convince different departments within banks - including technology, business, leadership, legal, and support to get the green signal. Fast forward to today, we realise that banks & regulatory institutions find it difficult to help the longer tail of companies build innovative & compliant fintech solutions.

What if there was a platform (think AWS for cloud or Twilio for messaging) that abstracts the complexities of banking, identity, payments, lending, and provides simple APIs so that companies do not have to spend years dealing with banks?

We’re solving this pain point at Decentro since 2020. We’ve scaled to process $4 billion + in payment volumes & have 900+ customers across India & Singapore in multiple verticals such as marketplaces, banks, regulated institutions, fintechs, lenders, gaming, and more.

About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced DevOps Engineer to manage our AWS infrastructure and ensure the security of our systems. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to implement cloud solutions that are scalable, secure, and reliable. You will take ownership of maintaining and optimizing our cloud environment while continuously enhancing security practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.

What is expected from you -

• Manage, monitor, and optimize AWS infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance.
• Design and implement secure cloud architecture in AWS following best practices.
• Implement and manage continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for smooth application delivery.
• Ensure security best practices are applied across all layers of the infrastructure, including firewalls, VPCs, IAM roles, security groups, and encryption.
• Monitor system performance, identify operational issues, and troubleshoot as necessary.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of security controls without impeding the delivery process.
• Handle incident management and disaster recovery processes.
• Maintain compliance with relevant data protection regulations, including CISA, ISO 27001, and SAR-DL.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or a related field.
• AWS Expertise: Hands on experience of AWS services including EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and more.
• Security Focus: Knowledge of security frameworks, encryption standards, and security tools such as AWS GuardDuty, Config, and Shield.
• CI/CD Experience: Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub CI, or CloudPipeline.
• Scripting: Strong skills in scripting languages like Python and Bash.
• Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across infrastructure and security layers.
• Team Player: Collaborative, open to feedback, and passionate about continuous improvement.
• High energy team player with willingness to learn and adapt quickly.

Good to Haves:
AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.
Knowledge of security compliance and governance practices (CISA, ISO 27001, SAR-DL).
