Reporting to the COO, LearnLux’s Director of Finance will be broadly responsible for traditional finance responsibilities, including accounting and reporting, financial operations, financial planning and analysis, and tax, in addition to other operational areas. You will work across all teams at LearnLux to ensure we’re constantly improving efficiency and productivity. We’re a fast growing company with plans to scale significantly in 2025.

Key Responsibilities
- Priorities at LearnLux will start with serving as a key advisor to the CEO, COO, and Board, offering well-thought-out perspectives and leadership on options for growth, financing transactions, and operational excellence.
- Implement rigorous processes around real-time forecasting, reporting and analysis of key metrics, revenue operations, and vendor management.
- Finance business partner support as needed across global operations, legal & compliance, contracts, and people operations, including compensation and benefits planning.
- Supervise and raise the level of the accounting and finance organization and core processes to ensure the integrity and timeliness of reporting on financial condition and results by:
- Overseeing both internal staff and external service providers;
- Integrating data into financial reports and projections; and
- Developing and documenting business processes and internal controls, ensuring that these are implemented to achieve compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements for financial, tax, and compliance reporting.
- Establish and strengthen personal and company relationships and communicate effectively across various levels inside and outside of the organization through:
- Preparation of concise and insightful financial reporting for the board of directors, investors, and executive management; and
- Providing financial information, business partnering, and support to divisional leaders in a way that empowers them to make decisions.
- Demonstrate the ability to expand personal leadership generally, and specifically to strengthen and scale other company administrative and shared functions after the financial priorities have been addressed.
You Should Have
A track record that includes demonstrated success in the company’s prioritized areas.
Integrity, professionalism, interpersonal skills, team building, communication, ability to drive change, and a process orientation.
Nice to Haves
- Masters degree and/or CPA is a plus.
- Experience wearing many hats outside of finance - e.g., HR, operations, legal, compliance
- Involvement/experience with venture capital fundraising processes
