Automation Tester

Job description

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks
Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data for automated testing
Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify software defects
Collaborate with developers and manual testers to improve test coverage and efficiency
Continuously improve automation frameworks and testing methodologies
Participate in code reviews of test scripts to ensure best practices are followed
Monitor and report on automation metrics and test results
Troubleshoot and debug automation issues
Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in test automation

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
3+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years focused on test automation
Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Ruby)
Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG)
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications

ISTQB certification or equivalent
Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner)
Knowledge of API testing and tools like Postman or SoapUI
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Experience with cloud testing platforms (e.g., Sauce Labs, BrowserStack)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £1200.00 per month

Expected hours: 20 per week
