As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced Audio DSP Engineer to improve our noise suppression capabilities and deliver world-class audio solutions for our customers.

Role Overview:
We are looking for an Audio DSP Engineer with a deep understanding of digital signal processing techniques, specifically optimized for noise suppression in high-decibel environments such as tactical, construction, aviation, and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying advanced noise cancellation algorithms that will be integrated into our premium headset products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and optimize DSP algorithms for noise suppression, focusing on extreme noise environments.
  • Develop and enhance Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) systems, including feedforward, feedback, and hybrid approaches.
  • Collaborate closely with product, marketing and sales leadership, to integrate DSP solutions into rugged, real-time embedded systems.
  • Apply adaptive filtering, spectral subtraction, and Wiener filtering techniques to balance noise reduction with voice clarity.
  • Develop machine learning based voice activity detection (MLVAD) algorithms for selectively enabling noise cancellation based on speech presence in high acoustic noise environments.
  • Utilize neural networks and machine learning models (e.g., CNNs, RNNs, transformers) for dynamic noise suppression in environments where traditional DSP methods may fall short.
  • Optimize Bluetooth audio processing, ensuring reliable audio transmission with effective noise cancellation in wireless, noisy environments.
  • Prototype and field-test DSP solutions, ensuring performance in real-world high-noise settings such as factories or construction sites.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in developing DSP solutions for noise suppression in high-noise industries (e.g., construction, tac-ops, manufacturing, aviation).
  • Proficiency in ANC/ENC algorithms and DSP techniques like adaptive filtering, Wiener filtering, beamforming, and Kalman filtering.
  • Hands-on experience with microphone array processing and multi-microphone systems for voice direction detection and noise reduction.
  • Strong expertise in MATLAB, Simulink, Python, and machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch for developing noise suppression models.
  • Experience working with hardware platforms such as ARM Cortex, Qualcomm, ST, Analog Devices, and knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Demonstrated success in prototyping and testing noise suppression systems in rugged environments with consistent performance and voice clarity.
  • Passion for developing high-quality, cutting-edge technology and audio systems.
