- Freight Analytics: Creating tools to analyse freight metrics and market dynamics.
- Congestion Tracking: Developing systems for real-time port and canal congestion monitoring.
- Fleet Management: Building solutions to monitor vessel availability, fleet utilisation, and development.
- Voyage Planning: Designing automated tools for vessel matching and cost-effective voyage planning.
- Data Integration: Enhancing data access through APIs, SDKs, and other platforms.

- Manage and lead 2-3 teams of around 4+ engineers, ensuring that they are motivated and empowered to achieve their goals, and fostering a culture of continuous feedback.
- With your Product Management partner and Tech Leads set the direction for your teams by collaborating on the product strategy and setting ambitious, user-focused goals.
- Ensure your team is focused on delivering impact through data-driven decisions
- Lead a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering department, encouraging innovation, staying ahead of industry trends and technologies, and implementing best practices and process improvements.
- Mentor and develop engineers, fostering a strong engineering culture within the organisation and a high bar for engineering excellence.
- Lead on communication with stakeholders, including executive leadership, creating clear guidance for your team and focus space for engineers to do their best work.

- At least 5 years of experience as an Engineering Manager
- Strong knowledge of the software technologies and processes commonly used in software development, both in a cloud and serverless environment
- Experience working on scaled, consumer-facing products
- Experience working in a fast paced experimentation led environment
- A product-focused approach, ensuring that your team optimises for maximum impact for both our users and the business
- Experience in implementing and leading a data-driven approach to decision-making, leveraging on observability tools and processes to drive engineering and business outcome
- Demonstrated success in leading, scaling and developing high-performing engineering teams
- Comfortable operating with ambiguous problem areas with a high degree of autonomy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with senior executives and stakeholders
- A humble and growth-oriented mindset, with a desire to continuously learn
