ispace is seeking a skilled and organized Infrastructure Engineer to join our AIT team. This is a hands-on, onsite position that requires a wide range of certifications and expertise to manage operations safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have experience in handling hazardous materials, operating cranes and forklifts, and working at heights requiring safety harness. The candidate should be comfortable with implementing and monitoring safety regulations in the workplace and interacting with ispace crew and external parties for facility operational support, safety procedures and equipment operation. Additionally, this role involves organizing consumables, managing inventory, purchasing and ensuring proper tool and equipment calibration.

Key responsibilities
- Safely operate cranes, forklifts, and elevated work platforms on site in support of AIT activities.
- Write and review safety plans and AIT plans for infrastructure-related information.
- Handle hazardous materials in accordance with safety regulations.
- Interact with the facility owner or operator in order to have support provided for ispace operations. Support the AIT manager or team members in interactions with facility owner or operators.
- Perform infrastructure-related electrical work and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Manage the inventory of consumables, fasteners, tools and fixed assets. Manage the calibration schedules of said equipment.
- Track procurement of necessary materials and ensure stock levels are maintained.
- Assist with heavy equipment loading and unloading as needed.
- Uphold safety standards on site, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
- Collaborate with the team for searching for and purchasing facility and safety equipment for the AIT office and cleanroom.

Basic qualifications
- BA Sc. in electrical engineering, or electrician certificate
- Crane Operator License
- Slinging Certification
Native Japanese, English business level

Preferred qualifications
- Hazardous Material Handler Certification

- Familiarity with logistics, particularly in the loading/unloading of heavy equipment
- Familiarity with spacecraft operations and working in a ISO 8 cleanroom environment
