資深全端軟體工程師（全職、遠距離） / Senior Full-Stack Developer (Full Time, Remote)

Panglot Labs Ltd 是一個在英國註冊的有限公司，在台灣有設立分公司。本公司的產品為製作少數語言的電子教材，包括台灣原住民族語，客家話以及閩南語的app。

世界上有超過六千種語言，超過一半是瀕危語言，逐漸會滅亡。每一種語言是一個有特別文化和觀點的小世界，滅亡等於人類的文化永遠失去一份獨特的文化。

本公司的使命為盡量保留和復興世界的少數語言。

工作內容

此工程師可作為創辦人以外的第一位工程師，他／她將擔任公司未來軟體工程方面的領導者。她／他會與創辦人直接合作。
本職位適合一位資深，對於上述公司有熱情、使命的工程師。
工作模式為全部遠距離工作。

主要的系統有三個：

1. 學習語言的app（包括前端和後端）。
2. 內容管理系統（語言學家編輯的系統）。
3. 分析儀表板（包括events的數據庫）。

工作內容除了上述第一題之外大部分是greenfield的（沒有任何程式，需要從領開始），因此此工程師會有非常大的權利，可影響公司軟體工程的方向以及對公司未來有很大的貢獻。

工作職責包括：

• 系統architecture設計
• 上述三個系統開發和維修
• deployment
• 故障修理
• app優化

工作特質

必要條件：

• 英文程度中等以上
• 總共五年的經驗
• React Native和Python的經驗
• MongoDB或SQL的經驗
• 可獨立工作及良好的溝通
• 對公司使命感有興趣

附加條件（加分）：

• 英文流利
• 有別的程式設計語言的經驗
• 會說任何別國的語言

Company

Panglot Labs Ltd is a UK registered company that makes language learning software for minority and endangered languages, including Formosan languages (those spoken by Taiwanese aboriginal tribes) and Chinese minority languages (Hakka and Hokkien). We will be expanding internationally into non-Taiwanese languages in the near future.

There are over 6000 languages in the world, and over half of them are endangered. Each of them represents a particular view of the world and supports a particular culture. When languages die, humanity loses a piece of its culture forever.

Panglot Labs' mission is to help preserve and revitalise minority languages around the world.

Role

This role would be the first engineering role in the company after the founder, and so the candidate would become the leader of the company's tech . The candidate would work directly with the founder.
The role would be suitable for an experienced engineer who is excited by the company's mission.

The work would mainly involve building and maintaining three systems:

1. Langauge learning apps.
2. Content Management System (used internally by linguists).
3. Analytics dashboards and the corresponding databases.

Aside from (1) above, most of the work is greenfield, and so the candidate would have an outsized influence on the entire tech infrastructure and direction of the company.

Work responsibilities include:

• System architecture design
• Creating and maintaining the above systems
• Deployment
• Bugfixing
• Optimisation

Requirements

Necessary:

• 5 years' experience overall
• Experience with React Native and Python
• Experience with at least one of MongoDB or SQL
• Capable of working independently
• Strong communication skills

Beneficial:

• Has experience with other programming languages and frameworks
• Speaks, reads, and writes Mandarin
• Speaks any other languages
