The Role

We're seeking a AI Engineer with a strong background in mathematics and finance to join our team in Boston, MA. This hybrid role requires 2-3 days of in-office presence per week. As a key member of our growing team, you'll have the opportunity to apply advanced AI techniques to solve complex financial problems.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom data storage solutions and optimize analytical queries for financial data
• Perform statistical testing and engineer features to be utilized for financial modeling and forecasting
• Architect deep learning models, including developing and enhancing model architectures from mathematical foundations
• Assist in development work on a wide variety of projects serviced by the company

Requirements

• B.A. or B.S. in Math, Computer Science, or related field
• Strong background in mathematics, statistics, and machine learning
• Proficiency in Python and experience with AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Solid understanding of financial markets and quantitative finance concepts
• Experience with time series analysis and predictive modeling
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS preferred) and big data technologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts clearly

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with algorithmic trading or high-frequency trading systems
• Advanced degree (MSc or Ph.D.) in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Knowledge of blockchain technology and its applications in finance
• Familiarity with natural language processing for financial text analysis
• Experience with reinforcement learning applied to financial decision-making
