Team

The Engineering & Data team builds innovative tech products and platforms to support the impressive growth of their gaming and consumer apps which allow Voodoo to stay at the forefront of the mobile industry. The Engineering & Data team plays a key role in Voodoo’s long-term strategy. It enables Voodoo to both accelerate product diversification and provide a state of the art growth-engine to distribute and scale our games. They create innovative solutions that drive growth with a pragmatic approach, ranging from simple searching to complex machine learning systems.

You will join Voodoo's Ad Network team, which is part of the Engineering & Data department. Our Ad Network project is a crucial initiative, connecting advertisers in real-time with mobile apps that want to host advertisements. By joining this team, you will take part in designing and building long-term services that deliver value to millions of future users.

Role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer who is deeply passionate about building scalable, high-performance systems and who is constantly driving themselves and the team towards completing the next challenge.By joining this team, you will have a strong impact on the business and a unique opportunity to reach hundreds of millions of users with your work.

Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs to support our Ad Network.
Collaborate with internal departments to integrate backend solutions with various platforms and services.
Optimize performance and scalability of existing backend systems to handle ever-growing data and user load.
Ensure the highest level of security, availability, and reliability of backend services.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and best practices.

Profile

Over 4 years of professional experience as a backend engineer.
Experience building and scaling highly-available systems.
Proven experience with software engineering best practices such as design patterns, code reviews, unit and integration testing, monitoring, observability, etc.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment and deal with change.
Pragmatic, adaptable, and result-oriented with a problem-solving approach.
Experience in programming languages such as Java or Python is a plus.
Experience with distributed systems is a plus.
Experience with a cloud provider such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus.
Experience with infrastructure as code is a plus.
Familiarity with principles such as Domain-Driven Design (DDD) or clean architecture is a plus.
