Position Overview: We are seeking a Software Test Engineer to join a dynamic team in Annapolis Junction, MD. As a Software Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through rigorous testing and analysis. Collaborate closely with development teams to develop and execute test plans, analyze functional requirements, and contribute to the success of mission-critical projects.
Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph required.
Responsibilities:
- Test web application user interfaces to ensure functionality and usability meet project requirements.
- Analyze functional requirements to identify possible test paths and parameters for comprehensive test coverage.
- Develop, coordinate, and execute test plans for periodic software releases, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve software defects and performance issues.
- Utilize version control systems, particularly Git, to manage and track test cases and results effectively.
- Maintain a solid understanding of software development principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Adapt quickly to changing project requirements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate test results and recommendations clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, with 7+ years of experience.
- Experience testing web application user interfaces.
- Proficiency in analyzing functional requirements to develop effective test plans.
- Solid understanding of software development principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Knowledge of Linux and Unix systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph required.
