Commissioning Start-Up Supervisor, Operational Assurance

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. We are looking for an Commissioning Start - Up Operational Assurance Supervisor to lead the start-up operations of our processing facilities, with a strong focus on LNG production and to ensure the organization’s construction operations maintain compliance with all project specifications, drawings, codes, standards, and all federal, state, and local requirements.

This may be a contract or full time position and is located in Point Celeste, Louisiana working from our Plaquemines Parish (PQ) LNG Facility.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the process of starting up industrial processing facilities
• Oversee pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup activities, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety standards.
• Prepare timely and accurate reporting of daily/weekly/monthly activities
• Provide expert guidance on liquefaction processes and equipment
• Perform Field Walkdowns on Daily Basis
• Supervise and coordinate start-up & operations teams’ activities being performed both by contractors and internal staff
• Develop and implement start-up strategies and procedures
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the start-up phase
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards
• Liaise with construction teams, engineering, CSU team and operations teams to ensure smooth handover of facilities
• Manage and Mentor staff as assigned in start-up and commissioning processes
• Enforce strict adherence to Lock Out / Tag Out Procedures (LOTO), work permits, and company policies.
• Review of Final Record Books for compliance.
• Periodically report the status of quality pertaining to construction activities and project quality documentation to executive leadership and, when required, regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 20 years of experience in field operations, with a strong focus on starting up industrial processing facilities.
• Extensive experience in the Downstream Oil and Gas industry, preferably within LNG production facilities in the US Gulf Coast
• Solid knowledge of pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, SIMOPS, PTW, and liquefaction processes
• Experience with quality assurance and control processes in industrial settings
• Operations and Start Up experience required
• Shift Supervisor experience within a plant environment required
• Broad knowledge and understating of all industry codes, standards, and industry best practices.
• Have advanced computer experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Projects, PowerPoint, and Excel Work products.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to obtain a TWIC Card.
