Join a highly organized and exceptionally agile Executive Administration team driven by our mission: to detect cancer early, when it can be cured. We work behind the scenes making crucial contributions to the mission via those we support.
As an Executive Assistant, you will provide critical support to the Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel, making a significant impact on our Executive, Finance, and Legal teams. This role requires highly-developed interpersonal skills, a friendly and helpful demeanor, and a solution-oriented approach. Given the nature of the work, this position demands a high level of discretion, confidentiality, and the ability to manage sensitive external communications with care.
This onsite role requires 4 days a week in Menlo Park, CA, with Tuesdays and Thursdays required, offering the opportunity to be deeply integrated into GRAIL’s dynamic and innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Exercise discretion and sound judgment in a diversity of C-suite level matters, especially those involving financial and legal sensitivities, while maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality with impeccable written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities, with experience working with senior executives.
- Multitask efficiently; excelling at synthesizing and coordinating multiple communications in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Actively manage the calendars, meetings, and priorities for multiple Senior Leaders, with a particular focus on the CFO, and General Counsel. Manage and reconcile corporate expenses.
- Draft and manage sensitive external communications on behalf of Executive Leadership, ensuring they are handled with the utmost care, discretion and professionalism.
- Remain calm under pressure with exceptional attention to detail.
- Team player - have team-oriented experience and approach; enjoy working cross-functionally in partnership with teams.
- Take initiative: anticipate, address, and resolve potential needs, conflicts, or challenges.
- Ability to project manage special projects and ad-hoc assignments independently with little direction needed.

Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in executive admin support or a combination of a B.A./B.S. degree with relevant experience supporting C-Suite executives, particularly within finance and/or legal departments.
- Strong business sense and ability to decipher priorities while making sound judgment calls when needed.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective internal and external relations; impeccable attention to detail, project management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and implement new procedures, software, and technologies.
- Commitment to excellence, performing duties at the highest level possible on a consistent basis.
- Positive “can do” attitude with a strong desire to roll up sleeves.
- Experience with Google Suite or other cloud-based office programs.
- Experience maintaining confidentiality and addressing sensitive information with a high level of customer service.
- Start-up experience in a company that has scaled quickly is a plus.
