Auterion Government Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Professional to drive growth and strategic opportunities within the US Department of Defense (DoD) market, with a specific focus on INDOPACOM and US DoD services in the Pacific. This role is pivotal for expanding our footprint with the unmanned platform sector in the INDOPACOM theater for air, surface, multi-domain, representing the Auterion catalog of capabilities, managing the capture and proposal process to secure new contracts. The ideal candidate will have a Top Secret clearance, extensive experience in the Indo-Pacific region, and a proven track record of successful captures of US Government opportunities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Identify and analyze business opportunities within the US INDOPACOM and Pacific region partner nation market, focusing on unmanned platforms.
- Develop and implement strategies to target new business areas and expand existing relationships.
- Lead and manage the capture process for DoD contracts, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to develop and execute capture strategies, including technical, management, and pricing approaches.
- Oversee the proposal development process, ensuring high-quality submissions that meet client requirements and company standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams supporting proposals to create compelling narratives and technical solutions.
- Review and assess proposals to ensure competitive positioning and compliance with solicitation requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key DoD clients and stakeholders.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote our unmanned platforms and services.
- Track and report on business development activities, pipeline status, and capture progress.
- Prepare and present forecasts, business development metrics, and performance analysis to senior management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, capture management, or related roles within the US DoD market, specifically with unmanned platforms; military service in an operations or acquisition related field is a plus.
- Active Top Secret clearance is desired; Secret clearance is required.
- Proven experience in the Indo-Pacific region with a deep understanding of regional dynamics, DoD operations and objectives, and partner nation roles and integration.
- Demonstrated success in capturing and winning DoD contracts, with a robust portfolio of past achievements.
- Strong knowledge of the US DoD acquisition process and unmanned platforms.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, throughout the Pacific region and CONUS
