QA Engineer

Job Summary: As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to design, execute, and maintain tests. The role involves both manual and automated testing to ensure that our solutions meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and usability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for web and mobile applications.
• Identify, document, and track bugs, defects, and issues through to resolution.
• Conduct both manual and automated testing to ensure the quality and performance of the product.
• Collaborate closely with developers to understand features and technical implementations.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks using industry-standard tools.
• Perform regression, functional, and performance testing across various platforms.
• Ensure that testing processes align with industry best practices.
• Analyze test results, identify trends, and suggest improvements to the development process.
• Participate in design and code reviews to ensure the system is designed with testability in mind.
• Contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines by integrating automated tests.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in software quality assurance, including experience with both manual and automated testing.
• Proficiency in testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks like Cypress, TestNG, or similar.
• Understanding of programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript for writing test scripts.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, processes, and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with API testing and tools like Postman or REST Assured.
• Experience with performance and load testing tools like JMeter.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.) and testing in a cloud-native environment.
• Familiarity with mobile testing frameworks like Appium.
