About The Position:
Maropost is currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer (PERL, PHP) who will be responsible for participating as Scrum team member to conduct software design, development and testing. This person will translate expertise in application architecture, back-end (and some front-end) development, and infrastructure scripting into code and contribute to the software delivery process.

We welcome candidates from Chandigarh and Bangalore to complement our existing teams.

What You'll Be Responsible For:
You will be accountable for managing, organising and doing all development work required to create a releasable increment of product every Sprint. This includes:

Developing code and have a passion for writing tests
Contributing as a full scrum team member in all stand-ups, refinements, sprint planning meetings and retrospectives
Prioritising, coordinating and managing individual workload and tickets from start to finish to ensure it contributes to the team sprint goals
Contributing to technical and functional requirements gathering
Collaborating with developers and product teams to deliver the optimal solution
Actively contributing to the team’s continuous improvement
Reviewing code changes and implementations
Documentation of development & testing procedures and criteria
Developing, executing and maintaining infrastructure-as-code and automation
Developing, executing and maintaining automated tests such as unit tests & functional tests

What You'll Bring to Maropost:
Experience of 5+ Years
A customer-centric focus, keeping the customer in mind at all times during the SDLC.
Experience in backend development, unit testing and functional testing of software applications.
Proven knowledge around writing scalable and performant code.
Substantial knowledge and experience with MySQL, Linux, REST API’s, JSON.
Good experience in working with version control tools like Github, bitbucket etc. 
Familiarity with agile methodology and test driven development.
Analytical problem solving skills.
Fast learner, able to pick up complex business rules quickly to gain an understanding of applications.
Ability to quickly integrate into a team of skilled developers and to adapt to existing processes and tools.

Preferred Experience:
Hands-on coding and development experience using the tech stack, including PERL, PHP, and MySQL
PERL is mandatory.
Symphony framework.
Knowledge around OOPs concepts, Abstraction, Access Modifiers.
Exposure to cloud service providers such as AWS and GCP.
Knowledge about JWT tokens or any other Authentication technique.
knowledge about Indexes.
Good knowledge of SOLID Principles.
Good hands on experience in implementing payment gateways such as Paypal, Stripe, Afterpay
Knowledge about dependency injection and terraform deployment.
PHPUnit, Behat, and other testing methodologies and frameworks
HTML, CSS, Perl, Ruby, JavaScriptand modern JavaScript libraries.
Good to have e-commerce platform experience.
