About the Role\
As our Funding Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving our fundraising efforts. This is an opportunity for a well-connected, strategic thinker to shape the future of an ambitious social media startup. We’re looking for someone who has experience working with early-stage startups, raising smaller rounds (seed or pre-seed), and understands the nuances of pitching to investors who value potential and vision. This is a unique opportunity with future leadership potential. As the company scales, there will be opportunities to take on more responsibilities, potentially transitioning into a leadership role within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute fundraising strategies in collaboration with the leadership team.
Identify, research, and engage with potential investors, including angel investors, venture capitalists, and other funding sources.
Manage communications with current and prospective investors, providing them with necessary materials and updates.
Assist in the preparation of pitch decks, financial models, and other documents required for investor meetings.
Act as a key liaison during negotiations, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and goals.
Help manage investor due diligence and address any queries regarding the company's financials and growth projections.
Keep updated on market trends and investor sentiment to refine our fundraising approach.

Requirements

Proven experience raising capital for early-stage startups, ideally in the social media, tech, or consumer app space.
Strong connections to VCs, angel investors, and other funding sources in the seed/pre-seed stage.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to tell compelling stories backed by data.
Familiarity with financial modeling and investor presentation creation.
Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced, startup environment.
Passion for social media, technology, and the future of online engagement.
Bonus: Prior experience working with bootstrapped or lean startups.
