The role:

We are searching for a Senior Python Software Engineer, to join our Content team. We are looking for a creative engineer that is eager to solve complex technical challenges in a high load environment, someone who can thrive with ambiguous problems rather than repetitive tasks.

Content team

The team focuses on acquiring data (Content) at scale and automating all processes to its maintenance. For example, when a new station/stop is being added to one of our carriers' systems (think Deutsche Bahn or National Express), we automatically detect it and add it to our network. Smart AI-based algorithms are employed to guarantee that all journey/ticket prices provided to online travel agencies are consistent and up to date.

What you will do:

The objectives of the role are to:
• (1) Successfully implement high-impact systems that can handle high volumes of data,
• (2) Reduce manual workload for teams by 30% within the first year through automation,
• (3) Maintain a high system uptime.
• (4) Collaborate with Product in order to build new features.
Workplace:

Remote/Berlin

You have:

• Python experience (other languages such as C and C++ are a plus)
• Frameworks: preferably FastAPI, aiohttp
• Knowledge of asynchronous functions (or any experience with parallel computing)
• Docker and Kubernetes (nice to have)
• General understanding of SQL databases, indexes and locks
• You are fluent in English, both verbal and written.
