We’re looking for an experienced Certification and Compliance Engineer (m/f/d) with expertise in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics to join one of our portfolio companies. In your day-to-day work, you’ll manage the transition from prototypes to full-scale production, ensuring certifications, standards, and comprehensive documentation throughout the process.
Join our portfolio company: A German dual-use technology company that develops unmanned ground vehicles to spearhead automation in both governmental and civilian use cases.
In this role, you’ll:
- Develop and implement production plans to transition prototypes into full-scale production
- Manage the process of obtaining industry certifications (ISO, CE, MIL-STD) and ensure ongoing compliance
- Oversee the creation and management of technical documentation, including product specifications and compliance records
- Collaborate closely with design, R&D, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless integration and product development
- Optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Assess and mitigate production risks to ensure product safety, reliability, and quality
- Create and maintain technical documentation while assisting with necessary certifications
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and development
Your Profile
- At least 3 years of experience in production planning, ideally in robotics, defense, automotive, aerospace, or related supplier industries
- Strong understanding of production processes within the EU/Germany, with experience in certifications and documentation
- A hands-on approach to resolving production challenges effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
- Excellent communication skills in both English and German
Please note that we are looking for support in the Munich office of our portfolio company. Eligibility to work within the EU is required as well.
