Senior Software Engineer

BlueCargo (YC S18) is a shipping container visibility and audit platform, providing transparency and efficiency to the multi-trillion dollar logistics industry. We help our customers, ranging from the largest brands in the world to solo truckers, uncover unfair charges and avoid inefficiencies. Our users have saved hundreds of millions in fees to date, and we’re just getting started. Our product engineering team is looking for another engineer to join our ranks, continuing our disruption of a technologically antiquated industry.

This role is Hybrid (Tues & Thurs) from either LA or NYC offices.

What You’ll Do
In this role you will be:

• Integrating with APIs, building web crawlers, and constructing data pipelines to enrich and maintain the performance of our platform.
• Be a technical leader, using your vision & voice to influence our future.
• Become a near-expert in the freight industry over time.
• Collaborate with the entire company to ensure customer success, and be a go to resource.

What You Bring

• 5+ years in backend development in general
• Python experience
• Playwright experience highly-desired
• Experience with a popular cloud provider (AWS preferred)
• A hunger to grow technically and learn about the logistics industry
