Front End Developer

Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Front-End Developer with experience in building and customizing Shopify stores to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will be adept at translating design concepts into responsive, high-performance eCommerce websites using Shopify’s platform. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, design sensibility, and a solid understanding of eCommerce best practices. Key Responsibilities:

Shopify Store Development:

• Build and customize Shopify themes to create responsive and visually appealing online stores.
• Integrate third-party apps and plugins to enhance functionality and optimize store performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Shopify stores, including front-end bugs and user experience problems.

Design Implementation:

• Collaborate with designers to implement and adapt website designs, ensuring they are translated accurately into Shopify themes.
• Ensure that all designs are responsive and optimized for various devices and screen sizes.
• Maintain high standards of code quality, including clean, modular, and maintainable code.

eCommerce Best Practices:

• Apply best practices for eCommerce design and development, including optimizing page load times and ensuring a seamless checkout experience.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in eCommerce and Shopify platform updates to continuously improve store functionality and user experience.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Front-End Developer, with a strong portfolio of Shopify stores and projects.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid (Shopify’s templating language).
• Experience with Shopify’s admin interface, theme customization, and app integration.
• Solid understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Shopify Plus and advanced eCommerce features.
• Knowledge of UX/UI design principles and how they apply to eCommerce.
• Basic understanding of SEO principles and best practices for eCommerce sites.
• Experience with Shopify’s API for custom integrations.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of experience in front-end development, specifically with Shopify.
