Role
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development professional to join our team at Hack VC. The ideal candidate will bring experience in fundraising and have the ability to attract new sources of capital. They must have strong business development and interpersonal skills. They will spend a significant portion of their time prospecting for new investors, managing fundraising strategies, and representing Hack VC externally.
Key Responsibilities
- Investor Prospecting & Fundraising: Cultivate and expand Hack VC’s investor network through strategic outreach and relationship building.
- Fundraising Strategies: Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies, including communications and public relations.
- Conference Strategy & Execution: Plan, prepare for, and follow up on conferences; manage conference-related strategies to maximize exposure and investor engagement.
- Roadshows & Events: Plan and execute roadshows, as well as create, manage, and run various events.
- Pipeline & CRM Management: Oversee the management of the investor pipeline, ensuring accurate and up-to-date CRM data.
- Due Diligence: Respond to due diligence requests from prospective investors.
- Internal Sales Support: Create and manage internal sales FAQs and other support materials to assist in the firm’s fundraising efforts.
- Special Projects: Participate in special projects, such as new business ventures, that align with Hack VC's growth objectives.
- External Representation: Represent Hack VC at industry events, conferences, and other external engagements.
Requirements
- 3+ Years of Experience: Held prior roles at investment banks, asset managers, funds, or VCs in a capital raising or client-facing capacity. Experience in managing CRM systems.
- Skills: Strong business development, client management, and communication skills.
- Travel: Willingness to travel internationally to attend crypto and LP-related events.
- Leadership: Ability to work autonomously within a flat organizational structure and collaborate directly with others on the investment and operations teams.

Expected salary range: $150,000 to $230,000 plus potential for carried interest.
This expected salary range reflects the good faith salary range for this role and is not a promise of a particular wage for any employee.
