Job Summary
As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the planning, development, and delivery of key projects within our engineering team. You will work closely with program and product managers across the globe to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. Your ability to manage processes, track progress, and remove obstacles will be essential to our success.
About You:
- You are an experienced Engineering Manager with a proven track record of successfully delivering enterprise business applications, effectively balancing technical leadership with oversight of project execution and delivery.
- You have a total of 12+ years of experience in the software industry with experience in developing, leading, managing and delivering complex projects and building software solutions end-to-end.
- You excel at organization, clearly and transparently communicating roadmaps, and thrive in ensuring tasks are completed in a structured and methodical way.
- You collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization, understanding their challenges and partnering with them to prioritize and deliver solutions that solve problems across the Media Supply Chain.
- Develop and maintain engineering implementation plans, schedules, and status reports.
- Coordinate with Business, Product, PMO and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery of project milestones.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, resolve issues, and remove roadblocks to keep projects on track.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
- Implement and optimize processes to improve project efficiency and team productivity.
- Track project metrics and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Ensure projects adhere to company standards and best practices.
- Experience working on SaaS products with cloud technologies like AWS/GCP
- You are a hardworking problem-solver who thrives in finding solutions to difficult technical challenges
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build successful relationships across all levels of the organization
- You have the ability to lead and deliver against several initiatives simultaneously and to prioritize effectively
- You have shown you can manage ambiguity and competing priorities while focused on short term and long term goals
- You are comfortable working with both internal and external stakeholders, and embrace a buy vs build philosophy
- You have experience building Digital Supply Chain solutions - inclusive of Media Asset Management systems and integration with other systems.
- You have a significant understanding of title and metadata management, workflow automation, and at least some understanding of rights and avails management
- You are comfortable working in a fast paced environment with changing priorities
Pluses:
- Strong understanding of the Video landscape and industry standards in software development, video management, security, and infrastructure
- Experience with tools like AWS Media Services, Google Cloud Platform
A day in the life of Senior Manager, Software Engineering - Digital Supply Chain
- Leads technical planning, strategy and execution efforts in the creation of customer experiences
- Partner with Product, Business, and PMO to ensure effective prioritization, timing and quality commitments while following the SDLC process
- Plan & Track the daily work items and own the JIRA process to track the project. Own the scrum process and be a scrum master
- Attend Project & Product planning meetings, representing the Digital Supply chain team
- Prepare status reports and other high level reports and share it with senior management on a regular basis.
- Understand the technical know-hows and guide the team members as per the need and enable them to achieve the project objectives.
- Work with program & product management to ensure that all individual projects are appropriately supported and delivered successfully
- Ensure software development process is deployed accurately for all projects
- Empower teams through communication and awareness of project needs and business impacts
